Midnight Portrait

Art and atmosphere formed the starting point for this sophisticated residence. The clients were drawn to interiors with a strong evening mood, yet equally wanted the rooms to feel welcoming and comfortable in everyday life. Charcoal, midnight blue, silver and softened plum establish a dramatic tonal foundation, tempered by tactile upholstery and the warmth of natural timber.

Monumental portrait artwork gives the dining room its distinctive identity, while antiqued mirror, bespoke joinery and sculptural lighting deepen the sense of intimacy. In the bedrooms, velvet, chinoiserie details and softer textiles create a gentler expression of the same palette. Dramatic without feeling imposing, the home balances visual confidence with an underlying sense of ease.
